...And then there was Melitta Baumeister, a German designer based in NYC. After acquiring her MFA from Parson's, Melitta has gone on to curate collections reminiscent of sculptures. With pieces that appear three dimensional its clear to see the clothes are not made to fit the wearer, but to molded to a particular shape. With her choice in fabrics to the way to creates her silhouettes its obvious she is bringing something new to the fashion sphere.
